Meet Sommer
Sommer Seitz is a licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 18 years of specialized training in trauma-informed care, working with couples, families, and children.

As a “root therapist,” Sommer seeks to discover the underlying emotions, beliefs, memories, patterns of behavior, unmet needs, and even energetic patterns that drive many mental health issues. She believes that all people have the capacity to improve their lives when given a safe space to heal, tools that address the whole person (body, mind, and spirit), and are mirrored their strengths.

Sommer uses the transformative power of body-based healing modalities, attachment therapy, and mindful awareness to help clients develop nervous system regulation, experience healing relationships, and respond to life’s stressors with resilience. She fosters a compassionate, authentic, and safe relational space with practical tools to help clients embody the life they choose.

Most days, you can find Sommer enjoying time with her husband, co-parenting their three children, hiking with her dogs, reading, practicing yoga, or traveling.

Sommer is unwavering in her commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, viewing it as an ongoing journey of examining and challenging all forms of bias, discrimination, and racism, whether intended or unintended. She is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment, aiming to create compassionate spaces that encourage self-exploration, provide supportive tools, and nurture healing relationships. She strives to ensure everyone feels welcomed, safe, seen, and affirmed.
